Amitabh Bachchan and Aanjjan Srivastav were close friends in the 1990s, especially during the Shahenshah era. Aanjjan also helped Amitabh’s personal life by exposing him to the financial sector and supporting him in creating a bank account at the bank where Aanjjan worked.
Aanjjan Srivastav On Amitabh Bachchan’s Bankruptcy
During this time, their professional and personal connection flourished, with Aanjjan by Amitabh’s side during his most difficult times. However, everything went wrong before the renowned show Kaun Banega Crorepati.
“Amitabh Bachchan became bankrupt, his company ABCL had huge losses that he couldn’t incur,” Aanjjan told ETimes. He rebounded, though, with Kaun Banega Crorepati. The fact that he had shut himself off from all of his former pals astounded me the most. He was a different person after joining KBC.”
Aanjjan also revealed that the dynamics of their relationship changed after Kaun Banega Crorepati and the warmth they previously enjoyed began to vanish. Previously, Jaya Bachchan would extend invites to Aanjjan and his family for Holi celebrations, but such gestures eventually faded, and communication with Aanjjan and his family waned.
“Amit ji and my relationship became sour after KBC, earlier Jaya ji would call me and welcome me with my family for the Holi celebrations, but gradually the invites and the contact completely vanished,” he claimed. It had no effect on my career, but it was painful. It was even the fault of a couple of my theatrical buddies who provoked Amitji against me. “

Despite the shift in their relationship, Aanjjan expressed thanks for the unforgettable times they shared as well as Big B’s support. Even if the warmth between them appears to have lessened over time, Aanjjan hangs on to the fond memories they previously shared.
