A late-night road accident involving the convoy of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar caused brief panic in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Monday, after a speeding Mercedes rammed into an auto-rickshaw, which then crashed into one of the convoy vehicles. Akshay Kumar and his wife Twinkle Khanna were present nearby at the time but escaped without injuries.
What happened in Juhu
According to initial information, the accident occurred around 9 pm in Juhu. A Mercedes car, allegedly moving at high speed, first hit an auto-rickshaw. The impact threw the auto off balance, and it went on to collide with an Innova that was part of Akshay Kumar’s convoy.
Sources said the actor and his wife were travelling in another car ahead of the Innova. That vehicle reportedly suffered a minor impact, but there was no serious damage.

Injured rushed to hospital
Soon after the accident, police teams reached the spot and began preliminary checks. The auto-rickshaw driver and a passenger sustained injuries and were immediately taken to hospital for medical treatment. Their condition is said to be stable.
While no fatalities were reported, vehicles involved in the crash suffered heavy damage, adding to the chaos on the road for a short while.
Accident videos surface online
Videos from the scene have surfaced on social media, showing the damaged vehicles and a crowd gathered near the accident site. In some clips, one of the cars appears overturned on the auto-rickshaw, highlighting the severity of the collision. The visuals quickly went viral, sparking concern among fans.

Police are currently investigating the exact cause of the accident. As of now, no official complaint or FIR has been registered. Authorities are examining whether overspeeding, driver error, or a technical issue led to the crash.
