Volkswagen Taigun Facelift Launch on April 9

Volkswagen will begin April with the facelifted Taigun. The update focuses on sharper styling and more tech inside the cabin.

Expect redesigned LED headlamps, connected lighting elements, and subtle cosmetic tweaks. Inside, the SUV is likely to get a larger digital instrument cluster and new comfort features, including a rear seat massage function. A new 8-speed automatic gearbox with the 1.0-litre TSI engine is also expected, which could improve both drivability and fuel efficiency.

MG Majestor to Take on Toyota Fortuner

MG is set to introduce the Majestor, a heavily updated version of the Gloster, aimed directly at the full-size SUV segment.

The model is expected to come with a stronger road presence, updated interiors, and added features like a 12.3-inch digital display, dual wireless charging, and Level 2 ADAS. Off-road capability is also likely to improve with differential locks and a crawl function, making it more competitive against established rivals.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella Marks EV Entry

Toyota will make its first move into India’s electric car space with the Urban Cruiser Ebella.

Based on the Maruti e Vitara, the Ebella is expected to offer two battery options with claimed ranges of around 440 km and 543 km. Toyota may also introduce a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, which could reduce the initial purchase cost and attract more EV buyers.

Nissan Tekton: New Mid-Size SUV Incoming

Nissan is preparing to re-enter the mid-size SUV segment with the Tekton, replacing the Terrano.

Built on the same platform as the new Renault Duster, the Tekton is expected to feature a bold, Patrol-inspired design. Engine options could include 1.0-litre and 1.3-litre turbo petrol units, while a hybrid version is likely to follow later. The model is expected to play a key role in Nissan’s India strategy going forward.

Mercedes-Benz CLA EV Launch in Premium Segment

Mercedes-Benz will bring the all-new CLA in a fully electric form to India, marking a significant step in its EV portfolio.

The sedan will be offered in two rear-wheel-drive variants with claimed ranges of up to 792 km. Key highlights are expected to include a large infotainment display, digital cockpit, and a full glass roof. Pricing could fall in the ₹55–60 lakh range (ex-showroom), placing it among the more accessible luxury EVs in India.
