AR Rahman and Mani’s reunion
The song composition grabbed the audience’s attention a lot. What caught the audiences most attention was the reunion of Director “Mani Ratnam” and composer “AR Rahman”.
Song Entails
AR Rahman wrote the song showing respect towards the river “Kaveri”. Swagat Rathod and Pooja Tiwari were the vocalists. Mehboob provided the Hindi lyrics of the music.
“Ponni Nadhi” in Tamil, Ilango Krishnan wrote the lyrics, while Rahman, AR Raihanah, and Bamba Bakya sang it.
Film Background
The film is based on the Chola Empire, clearly stating the video song “Kaveri Se Milne”. In many sequences you can encounter Karthi playing the “Vallavaraiyan Vandiyadevan” across the Chola countryside.

Lyca Productions will release the movie’s 1st chapter on 30th September across the globe. The movie is set historically in the Middle Ages with Ponniyin Selvan(Raja Raja Cholan).
