If you’ve been thinking about bringing home an Ather electric scooter, you might want to move fast. Ather Energy has confirmed a price hike across its scooter lineup, effective January 1, 2026, with increases of up to ₹3,000, depending on the model.
Why Ather is raising prices
According to the Bengaluru-based EV maker, the decision comes amid rising global raw material costs, foreign exchange fluctuations, and higher prices of electronic components. These factors have pushed up input costs, prompting a revision in ex-showroom prices across the range.

December offers soften the blow
For buyers, December could be the last chance to lock in current prices. Ather is running its ‘Electric December’ campaign, offering benefits of up to ₹20,000 in select cities. The deals include instant discounts on credit card EMIs, cash offers, and a complimentary eight-year extended battery warranty on select models. The company has also partnered with multiple financiers to make ownership easier during the festive buying window.
What’s in Ather’s current lineup
Ather’s portfolio includes the sporty Ather 450 series and the family-focused Ather Rizta. The 450 range packs features like multi-mode traction control, MagicTwist regenerative braking, and connected tech such as Google Maps navigation, WhatsApp alerts on the dashboard, along with call and music controls.
The Rizta, meanwhile, has been a big growth driver. It recently crossed the two-lakh sales milestone, helping Ather widen its footprint beyond early adopters. Earlier this year, the company also announced a key update for the Rizta Z variant, which will now get touchscreen functionality, addressing feedback from family buyers.
Where you can buy an Ather scooter
Ather scooters are sold via the brand’s Experience Centres across India and can also be purchased online through platforms like Amazon and Flipkart—making access easier for buyers in smaller cities.
