Bajaj Auto has started calendar year 2026 on a strong footing, reporting healthy growth across domestic and export markets in January. The automaker recorded total vehicle dispatches of 4,77,422 units during the month, registering a 25 per cent year-on-year growth compared to 3,81,040 units sold in January 2025.
The performance highlights a steady recovery in domestic demand along with continued strength in overseas markets, especially in two-wheelers and commercial vehicles.

Two-Wheelers Remain the Growth Engine
Two-wheelers continued to be the backbone of Bajaj Auto’s volumes in January. Total two-wheeler sales stood at 4,06,295 units, up 24 per cent from the year-ago period. Domestic dispatches rose sharply by 25 per cent to 2,14,727 units, supported by strong demand across commuter and premium motorcycle segments.
Exports also contributed significantly. Two-wheeler exports increased 22 per cent year-on-year to 1,91,568 units, reinforcing Bajaj Auto’s presence in key international markets such as Africa, Latin America and parts of Asia.
Commercial Vehicles See Faster Momentum
The commercial vehicle segment delivered a stronger growth rate compared to two-wheelers. Total CV sales jumped 35 per cent to 71,127 units in January 2026. Domestic CV dispatches rose by 27 per cent to 47,248 units, while exports surged 53 per cent to 23,879 units, reflecting rising overseas demand.

FY2026 Year-to-Date Update
For the April–January period of FY2026, Bajaj Auto reported cumulative sales of 42,24,031 units, marking an 8 per cent growth over the same period last fiscal. While domestic volumes remained largely flat with a marginal 1 per cent decline, exports rose strongly by 20 per cent, helping offset softer local demand.
With exports staying resilient and domestic sales showing signs of recovery, Bajaj Auto appears well positioned heading into the final quarter of the financial year.
