Border 2, the much-anticipated war drama led by Sunny Deol, has locked its digital streaming partner following a strong theatrical opening across India. The film, positioned as a spiritual successor to the 1997 classic Border, brings back large-scale war storytelling rooted in real-life acts of bravery by Indian soldiers. The film stars Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty alongside Sunny Deol, who is the only actor returning from the original Border. Deol plays Lt Col Fateh Singh Kaler, while Varun Dhawan essays Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya. Diljit Dosanjh appears as Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, and Ahan Shetty portrays Lt Cdr M. S. Rawat.
The film is directed by Anurag Singh, who takes over the franchise from veteran filmmaker JP Dutta.
