Harley-Davidson is gearing up for a big December as it unwraps the new Harley-Davidson X440 T, the second motorcycle built on its growing 440 platform. Developed in partnership with Hero MotoCorp, the new variant takes the popular X440’s base and gives it a sharper, more premium identity aimed at riders who want something bolder and more stylish in the mid-size segment.

Full details, including pricing, will be announced on December 6 or 7, 2025, when the motorcycle officially launches across India.

    A Sharper, More Confident Look

The X440 T carries several visual upgrades that instantly separate it from the standard model. The most noticeable change is the new monolithic rear fender, giving the bike a chunkier, flat-track-inspired stance. Harley has also reworked the seat for better comfort and added large, practical pillion grab handles.

Other updates include bar-end mirrors, blacked-out front fenders, and a refreshed tank design with racing-style pin-striping. The X440 T comes in four colours, including two that are exclusive to this variant.

Visually, the bike leans heavily into Harley’s global flat-track DNA, drawing clear cues from the iconic Harley-Davidson XR1200.

    Same Proven Engine, More Attitude

Under the skin, Harley sticks to what already works. The X440 T shares the same 440 cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine that produces 27 bhp and 38 Nm. It’s paired with a six-speed gearbox, known for being friendly in city traffic yet steady on the highway.

The steel trellis chassis returns as well, offering a balance of rigidity and agility—something X440 riders have praised since the original model’s 2023 debut.

    Suspension, Braking and Ride Quality

    The mechanical setup remains familiar:

    • 43 mm USD front forks
    • Gas-charged twin rear shocks
    • Disc brakes at both ends

Harley hasn’t confirmed wheel sizes yet, but industry chatter suggests they will remain unchanged from the X440.

The overall package should continue delivering a comfortable, planted ride—one of the biggest reasons the X440 gained popularity in India’s mid-size motorcycle space.

Why the X440 T Matters for India

The original X440 marked Harley-Davidson’s big comeback in the entry-to-mid segment, offering aspirational branding at a price that pulled first-time buyers into the Harley ecosystem. With the X440 T, the brand seems ready to expand that circle.

By offering a more stylish, urban-focused motorcycle, Harley is targeting riders who want the Harley charm but with a sportier, more lifestyle-oriented presence. And with the festive season launch lined up, the timing couldn’t be better.

The 350–450 cc segment is more competitive than ever, and the X440 T could help Harley defend and grow its share against rivals from Royal Enfield, Triumph, Bajaj, Hero, and Jawa/Yezdi.

As deliveries begin later this year, all eyes will be on whether the X440 T’s upgraded design and premium touches deliver the same real-world satisfaction that helped the X440 become a runaway success.
