Reuters, May 14: SEOUL Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla (TSLA.O), and Jay Y. Lee, Executive Chairman of Samsung Electronics (005930. KS), met last Wednesday to examine ways to collaborate in emerging high-tech industries, according to a statement from Samsung.

According to Samsung, the two businesses are now looking for ways to work together to create IT-related technologies like the semiconductors used in driverless vehicles.
The encounter, which took place when Lee was visiting the US, was the first between the leaders of the US electric car manufacturer and the South Korean chip manufacturer.
