The much-anticipated ODI World Cup 2023 final between India and Australia will take place on Sunday. The final match will take place at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi stadium.
Hours before the game, Astrotalk CEO Puneet Gupta vowed to award a whopping Rs 100 crore to Astrotalk users if India wins the World Cup.
Mr Gupta took an emotional journey down memory lane, recalling India’s previous ODI World Cup victory in 2011.
He said on LinkedIn, “The previous time India won the World Cup was in 2011, I was studying in college, and it was one of the best days of my life.”
Mr Gupta recalled the anxious atmosphere building up to the event, saying, “We didn’t sleep well before the day of the match because we kept discussing the match strategy the entire night.”
The joy he had after winning was obvious in his comments as he detailed the joyful scenes with his friends: “Once we won the match, I had goosebumps for the longest duration.” I hugged every one of my buddies. We went on a bike ride across Chandigarh, doing bhangra with strangers at every junction. We gave everyone we encountered a hug. It was unquestionably the happiest day of my life.”
Mr Gupta discussed his preparations for the forthcoming World Cup, stressing his wish to spread joy among the Astrotalk community.
“Last time I had a few friends who were willing to I could share my happiness, but this time there are so many Astrotalk users who are more like friends, so I must do things to share my happiness with them,” he said.
“So, this morning I spoke to my finance team and vowed to distribute 100 crore to our users in their wallets if India wins the World Cup,” Mr Gupta added.
“Let us simply pray for, support, and cheer for India.” India, India, India!!! “Thank you in advance,” he said.
India, coached by Rohit Sharma, will meet Australia in the World Cup 2023 final on Sunday.
