Maruti Suzuki India, the country’s largest automaker, will begin selling the 5-door Jimny to Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa in October 2023. The popular off-roader, which has a unique function, is now being supplied to Australia as well.
Both the 3-door Jimny and the 5-door Jimny are available in Australia. The SUV is available in three models: Jimny Lite, Jimny, and Jimny XL. While the Jimny Lite and Jimny are all three-door vehicles, the Jimny XL is a five-door vehicle.

The advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) is a unique feature of the Australia-spec Jimny. The Jimny is not available in any other country with this technology.
The Australia-spec Jimny has ADAS technologies such as automated emergency braking, lane departure warning, weaving alert, high beam assist, and adaptive cruise control.
While automated emergency braking, lane departure warning, and weaving alert are standard on all three SUV models, high beam assist is only available on the Jimny Lite and Jimny. Adaptive cruise control is available only on the Jimny XL. To operate the ADAS technology, laser sensors and an extra front camera have been fitted.
For example, starting in March 2023, all new automobiles sold in Australia must include automated emergency braking as standard.
The Jimny in Australia is powered by a 1.5-litre VVT petrol engine with 102PS of maximum power and 130Nm of peak torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual transmission and a 4-speed automatic transmission. The SUV comes fitted with ALLGRIP PRO 4WD technology and is built on a ladder frame chassis.
