The Krishna Janmashtami Story
In addition to the guard stationed in Kansa’s cell, when the time for Devaki’s eighth delivery drew nearer, the turbid area also began to lessen.

The gods then began to sprinkle flowers in the sky. In this, the Lord took the shape of a quadrilateral and appeared before Devaki. Devaki and Vasudeva initially praised the Lord after seeing this manifestation of God, but Devaki rebuked them, saying, “Oh Lord, this manifestation of yours is worthy of adoration; how can I consider it as my child?” Devaki asked the lord to take birth on Earth in the form of child and lord listened to her wholeheartedly.
Vasudev saved Krishna by reaching Nanda Baba’s house.
When Devaki asked God to appear in kid form, he replied that while he could defend the entire civilization in his four-armed form, he could not defend himself in child form. Devaki Vasudev was alarmed upon hearing this. But God assured him that he might take him right away to Nandbaba’s home in Gokul if he so desired.

Nand Baba brought his daughter here with him at the same time. Vasudeva brought the Lord to Gokul and then Yasoda’s daughter with him after receiving divine inspiration to do so.
All was back to normal as soon as he and his daughter arrived at the jail. The guards awoke as Devaki Vasudev was restrained. The girl then started crying as well. The guards alerted Kansa after hearing his cry.
In anticipation of this moment, Kansa dashed over, pulled the girl from Devaki’s grasp, and hurled her upon the stone. However, the girl slipped from his grasp and vanished, claiming that Devaki’s eighth son had been born elsewhere.
