Jawa has quietly refreshed its popular Jawa 42 lineup with a new Ivory colour option, giving the neo-retro motorcycle a cleaner and more premium look. The newly introduced shade is priced at Rs 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most expensive variant in the Jawa 42 range.

The update focuses purely on styling, with no mechanical changes to the motorcycle. Still, the fresh paint scheme and cosmetic tweaks are enough to make the Ivory variant stand out in the already colourful Jawa 42 portfolio.

New Ivory shade adds a premium touch

The new Ivory colour is applied across multiple parts of the bike, including the front fender, headlamp nacelle, fuel tank, side panels and rear fender. The uniform paint scheme gives the motorcycle a distinct identity compared to other variants in the lineup.

To make things more interesting, the fuel tank gets bold “Forty Two” lettering, while the number “42” is prominently displayed on the side panels. The engine and cycle parts are finished in black, which contrasts well with the light shade and adds a factory-custom feel to the bike.

This new variant now sits at the top of the Jawa 42 range, just above the dual-channel ABS alloy wheel version that was previously priced at Rs 1.83 lakh (ex-showroom).

Now available in 15 colour options

With the addition of Ivory, the Jawa 42 is now offered in a total of 15 colour options. Buyers can choose from shades like Vega White, Starship Blue Dual Tone, Voyager Red, Orion Red Matte, Orion Red, Sirius White, Cosmic Rock Dual Tone and several others.

The wide palette continues to be one of the key selling points of the Jawa 42, especially for riders looking for a retro motorcycle with a personalised look.

    Engine and performance remain unchanged

Mechanically, the new Ivory variant remains identical to the rest of the Jawa 42 range. The motorcycle is powered by a 294.7cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 27 bhp and 26.84 Nm of peak torque.

The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and features an assist and slipper clutch, which helps with smoother gear shifts and better control during aggressive downshifts. The setup is tuned for a balanced mix of city usability and relaxed highway cruising.

    Hardware and features

The Jawa 42 continues to be built on a double cradle frame. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers. Buyers can choose between alloy wheels or traditional wire-spoke rims, depending on their preference for modern or classic styling.

Braking is handled by disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS available on higher variants.

    A subtle but appealing update

While the update may seem minor on paper, the new Ivory colour gives the Jawa 42 a fresh visual identity. For buyers considering a neo-classic motorcycle with distinctive styling and multiple colour choices, this latest addition adds another appealing option to the lineup.
