KTM 390 Adventure, 390 Adventure X Get Costlier By Up To ₹27,000: Check Updated Prices

KTM has quietly increased the prices of its popular adventure motorcycles in India. Both the KTM 390 Adventure and 390 Adventure X have become more expensive, with a hike going up to ₹27,000. The revision follows the rollout of new GST 2.0 rates that took effect on September 22. While Bajaj and KTM initially absorbed the added cost, the brands have now passed on the increase to customers.

What About Other KTM 390 Models?

Interestingly, KTM has only updated prices for the adventure-touring models in the 390cc family. The KTM 390 Duke, KTM RC 390, and the recently launched KTM 390 Enduro continue to be sold at their earlier prices.

Engine & Performance

Both the KTM 390 Adventure and 390 Adventure X are powered by the brand’s updated 399cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Key performance figures remain unchanged:

  • Power: 48 hp
  • Torque: 39 Nm
  • Gearbox: 6-speed with slipper clutch
  • Purpose: Off-road + highway touring

This engine is shared across the rest of the 390 lineup and is known for its punchy mid-range and strong touring ability.

Why The Price Hike Now?

When GST 2.0 came into effect, motorcyclists were worried about premium bikes getting pricier. KTM and Bajaj had initially held prices steady, absorbing the extra tax burden. Now, the company has realigned pricing as part of its updated market strategy. With global component and production costs also moving, the hike was somewhat expected.Should You Still Consider the KTM 390 Adventure?

If you’ve been eyeing a middleweight adventure motorcycle with accessible seat height, strong performance, and proven reliability, the 390 Adventure remains one of the top options in India. Rivals now include:

  • Royal Enfield Himalayan 450
  • Hero Mavrick 440
  • BMW G 310 GS
  • Yamaha Tenere 700 (Global, expected launch)

The revised pricing may prompt buyers to compare more closely, but the KTM still brings a feature-loaded package for serious tourers.
