Maruti stated that JIM, Kansala will train around 200 people every year. Five specialized automotive trade courses will be offered by the institute.

Haryana’s government has granted land and a structure for the JIM in Kansala. Maruti will provide the necessary equipment, training modules, and lecturers, as well as run the institute for the next 15 years.

“India’s passenger vehicle industry is now the world’s third largest and is rapidly expanding.” It is our obligation to prepare human capacity to match production capability in order to meet this expansion. Training our young in industry-ready skills will assist us in realizing our goal of an Atmanirbhar Bharat. “We are delighted to collaborate with the Haryana government and share a common vision of training and skilling the youth so that they can contribute to Haryana’s growth,” said Rahul Bharti, Executive Director, Corporate Affairs, Maruti Suzuki India.

“We’ve been running JIMs since 2017.” The major aspect of the JIM is that the equipment used to instruct students is virtually identical to that used in a modern manufacturing facility. Along with the basic curriculum specified by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), there is an emphasis on safety, quality, discipline, timeliness, Kaizen, and other Japanese shop floor principles. That improves employability,” he continued.
