Following her concert at the Ronald Reagan Centre in Washington DC on Friday (June 23), famous American singer Mary Millben surprised everyone when she touched Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s feet.

In the presence of Prime Minister Modi and the Indian diaspora, Mary Millben performed India’s national hymn. She then welcomed the Indian Prime Minister with a ‘Namaste’ and touched his feet in reverence.
The couple exchanged a few words on stage amid cries of “Bharat Mata ki Jai.” The event was organised by the United States Indian Community Foundation (USICF), where PM Modi gave his farewell address to the Indian diaspora.
Mary Millben, who was born in Oklahoma City, gave a heartfelt version of the Indian National Anthem at the Ronald Regan Centre.
Prior to her performance, the American singer wrote, “In the end, I will rest in the knowledge that anything I did of great significance was because He (God) did it through me.” Tonight, when I sing the Indian National Anthem for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and guests of honour, India and Indian communities throughout the world are on my mind and in my heart.”
“We are family,” she concluded, “‘one earth, one family, one future.” God bless the #USIndia partnership and JaiHind.”
Mary Millben also took part in the 9th International Yoga Day, which was celebrated on June 21, 2023, at the United Nations. Her social media videos became popular after she has sung the Hindu devotional hymn ‘Om Jai Jagdish.’ In India, she has a huge fan base.
