Several renowned former cricketers, including the famous Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Venkatesh Prasad, and Suresh Raina, have spoken out against the ‘racist’ statements made by prominent personalities in the Maldives against India. They have advised their fellow compatriots to experience the beauty of Indian beaches.
This issue arose in the aftermath of Maldivian officials, politicians, and other public figures making insulting and ‘anti-India’ statements during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the union territory of Lakshadweep.

Amid the outpouring of support from current and former cricketers, an old video of the famous Mahendra Singh Dhoni has resurfaced on social media sites.
In the film, Dhoni, who led India to three ICC titles – the 2007 T20 World Cup, the 2011 ICC ODI World Cup, and the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy – discussed India’s beautiful landscapes.
“I travel a lot, but not on vacation. Frankly, if you ask me, I have not taken many holidays. During my cricket playing days, I would usually go to countries where cricket was played. I haven’t seen much because I was thinking, “I came here to play cricket; I’ll play cricket and then return.” “So, not much fun that way,” Dhoni stated in the video.
“My wife loves to travel. Now that we have some free time, we want to travel. But we want to start in India. We have so many wonderful locations around here. He remarked, “I’d like to explore them first before moving on to other places.”
KS Viswanathan, the CEO of Chennai Super Kings (CSK), has stated that Dhoni will begin practicing in the nets shortly in preparation for the IPL 2024 season.
After captaining CSK to their sixth IPL triumph, Dhoni had left knee surgery in Mumbai after experiencing problems with it during the season, particularly when dashing between the wickets.
Viswanathan also stated that CSK may begin its preparation camp in Chennai in the first week of March.
