Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday thanked the people of Bihar for delivering a sweeping mandate to the NDA, calling the 2025 assembly results a victory for good governance, development, and public trust. The ruling alliance is set to cross 200 seats in the 243-member Assembly — a massive jump that firmly secures its return to power.
A Mandate Backed by Performance, Says PM
Soon after trends showed a clear NDA sweep, PM Modi took to X to express gratitude. He said voters rewarded the alliance after witnessing its governance model, infrastructure push, and welfare programmes.
He wrote that the outcome reflects “victory of good governance,” “victory of development,” and the people’s belief in the NDA’s long-term roadmap for Bihar. Calling it an “unprecedented victory,” he thanked citizens for placing their faith in the alliance once again.

Congratulates Nitish Kumar, Chirag Paswan and Allies
PM Modi also congratulated Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, LJP (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan, HAM founder Jitan Ram Manjhi, and RLNM leader Upendra Kushwaha. He said the combined effort of coalition partners played a key role in securing such a decisive win.
According to him, the new mandate will allow the government to work with “renewed resolve” for Bihar’s youth, women, culture, and infrastructure development.
NDA Dominates Across the State
The NDA’s performance marks one of its strongest showings in Bihar in recent years. The BJP alone is leading in nearly 90 seats — significantly higher than its 74-seat tally in 2020. The JD(U) has nearly doubled its numbers, reclaiming its presence across multiple regions.
With the majority mark at 122, the alliance’s projected 200+ seats give it well over two-thirds support. The results send a clear message: voters were strongly aligned with the NDA’s pitch on stability, development, and welfare delivery.
