Devi Vishwakumar has been a sloppy adolescent since season one. Everything she does or says has disastrous effects. She even fulfilled her romantic American dream of dating Paxton, the hottest lad in her high school. Even that dream, however, did not survive long. She lies a lot, which often causes problems for those around her. Some others even harmed her. But what I’ve always admired about her is her perseverance.

In season 4, she describes herself as a sloppy person who can’t do things well. She eventually learns to accept herself, although it takes a long time. You’ll be annoyed when she betrays one of her buddies. But that’s who she’s always been: imperfect and self-centered.

Never Have I Ever Season 4 on Netflix focuses on Devi’s love life as well as her friends Fabiola and Eleanor. The couple wants to be successful in the fields of engineering (robotics) and performance. We observe how people make their way to their objectives. Along with Devi, the story includes Eleanor’s difficult connection with Trent. There comes a point when friends betray each other for the sake of a boy and their university goals.
I really loved how Ben’s character development is depicted. He’s been my favorite since season one. It’s understandable that he’s conflicted about what he wants and what he doesn’t. After all, Devi, despite being a teenager with a lot of pressure and expectations from his parents, gives his all in everything. Ben explains to Devi why they shouldn’t be together in one scenario. It was far superior to Paxton’s break-up conversation with Devi the previous season.
Never Have I Ever 4 on Netflix brings to light how difficult college life is and how difficult it is to move out of your house and into the outer world. It also emphasizes that there is no age limit to finding love again. Nirmala, Devi’s grandmother, has a sweet love tale that you will adore.
The series expertly balances humor and emotion to keep us entertained from start to finish. Even in serious/embarrassing situations, John McEnroe’s narrative keeps you captivated and makes you laugh. The last two episodes are really emotional. Anyone can cry during the flashback scenes between Devi and her father.
Maitreyi Ramakrishnan excels as a befuddled and severely flawed adolescent unable to manage her emotions. Devi’s character growth is commendable, and Maitreyi’s charm and performance make us fall in love with her all over again. Eleanor and Fab are played by Ramona Young and Lee Rodriguez, respectively. It was interesting to follow their hardships and journey.
Jaren Lewison makes Ben appealing, entertaining, and occasionally irritating. Throughout, the actor is fantastic, and his connection with Maitreyi is electric. Poorna Jagannathan, Richa Moorjani, Ranjita Chakravarty, Darren Barnett, and other actors perform admirably.
Never Have I Ever Season 4 Review: Final Thoughts
Never Have I Ever Season 4 is an absolute must-see. Devi’s love tale comes to a happy and adorable conclusion. The conclusion also symbolizes the start of more exciting events in her and other people’s lives.
