Kannada actor Vijay Raghavendra lost his wife, Spandana Ragavendra, on Sunday after she had a heart attack.
In another case of heart attack among healthy people, Spandana, the 45-year-old wife of Kannada star Vijay Raghavendra, died after suffering a heart attack at a Bangkok hospital, according to media sources.
According to accounts, Spandana was on holiday in Thailand with her family. The major cause of the heart attack was stated to be low blood pressure. The actor’s wife’s body is expected to arrive in Bangalore tomorrow. Other procedures and rites will be performed upon the arrival of the body.
Spandana is the daughter of retired cop B K Shivaram and married Viay in 2007.
Raghavendra’s brother Sri Murali confirmed the actor’s wife’s death on Monday, according to Indian Express. He said she was on vacation with her family and slept as normal. However, she did not awaken. He stated that Raghavendra is in Bangkok and that the family in India is awaiting more information.
According to industry sources, Spandana was set to return to India on Monday to participate in movie promotion, as reported by IE.
On Monday, Congress MLC B K Hariprasad paid a visit to the Spandana family in Bengaluru, following the unfortunate death of the Spandana. The body’s post-mortem report is pending.
