Shrikant Tyagi, a UP politician with ties to Noida, detained by Uttar Pradesh police on Tuesday. He was accused of mistreating a lady who lived in a housing community there. Since then,Tyagi has been on a run. The UP police captured him in Meerut and brought back to Noida.
Reson for Tyagi’s arrest
Shrikant got caught on camera attacking and harassing a woman at “Grand Omaxe” in Noida’s Sector 93. Since then, he has been on the run.
Bhartiya Janata Party’s denial
The Bharatiya Janata Party denied Tyagi had any connections to them, but up until Friday night, he insisted he was a member of the organisation. Outside the ground-floor flat at Grand Omaxe, Tyagi was charged with unauthorised building. His assistants caused a commotion when they stormed inside the Grand Omaxe society, which caused the situation to worsen.

Uttar Pradesh authorities successfully demolished the unlawful building on Monday using a bulldozer. The Noida Authority began the demolition process to the raucous applause of the neighborhood’s residents.
In the meantime, the BJP came under assault over the matter from the opposition.
Did the BJP administration not realise that the Noida BJP leader’s building was unlawful for so long? Bulldozer displays are purely aesthetic. The government is delaying its response to these inquiries, said Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in a Hindi tweet.
