India’s SUV craze isn’t slowing down anytime soon. With 2025 wrapping up and several models still lined up for launch in December, the excitement is already shifting toward 2026. A fresh batch of next-gen SUVs is gearing up to hit the market, bringing new tech, safer cabins, and modern styling. Here’s a quick look at the top five SUVs confirmed to debut in India in 2026.
Next-Generation Kia Seltos
Kia is preparing to kick off 2026 with one of its most important launches—the all-new Seltos. The global unveil is set for December 10, 2025, in Korea, followed by an India debut in early 2026.

The next-gen Seltos will borrow design cues from the Kia EV9 and Syros, giving it a sharper and more mature look. Inside, expect a major overhaul with a larger touchscreen, a full digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting, ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, and updated connected-car tech. Six airbags and automatic climate control are expected to be standard.
Next-Generation Maruti Suzuki Brezza
The Brezza continues to be one of India’s highest-selling compact SUVs, and its next-generation version is now in advanced testing. Multiple test mules have been spotted, hinting at an evolutionary design rather than a dramatic makeover.
The upcoming model could get a redesigned grille, new bumpers, and updated rear styling. The bigger upgrades, however, will come inside and in terms of safety. Maruti is likely to equip the new Brezza with Level 2 ADAS, six airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX mounts, and hill-hold assist. A better infotainment experience is also expected.
2026 Tata Punch Facelift
Another popular SUV getting an upgrade next year is the Tata Punch. The 2026 facelift has been spotted several times, showcasing a new lighting setup inspired by the electric Punch EV. Slim LED DRLs will sit on top, with triangular housings for the main headlamps.
Inside, Tata is expected to pack in features like ventilated seats, a refreshed center console with cup holders, and a floating infotainment screen. The updates will likely strengthen Punch’s position as one of Tata’s most feature-rich micro-SUVs.
Nissan Tekton
Nissan is finally gearing up for a strong re-entry into the competitive Indian SUV market. In a recent interaction, Nissan India MD Saurabh Vats confirmed that the brand is developing a new C-segment SUV—likely called the Nissan Tekton.
The Tekton will share the CMF-B platform with the upcoming Renault Duster, helping Nissan fast-track development. While interior details remain under wraps, the SUV is expected to offer a 10.1-inch touchscreen, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, and several new-age tech features. Nissan will also bring an MPV and a 7-seater SUV alongside the Tekton.
2026 Renault Duster
One of India’s most iconic SUVs is set for a grand comeback. The Renault Duster will officially return on January 26, 2026, with a completely new platform, fresh styling, and loaded tech.
