Currently, Vande Bharat train is running on only few routes in India. The country’s first Vande Bharat train started between Delhi and Varanasi. Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi inaugurated Vande Bharat Express on 15 February 2019. The commercial operation of this train started on 17 February 2019. It is currently operating between Delhi and Jammu. Trial is going on on Ambala route. Railways has decided to run this train between Mumbai and Ahmedabad.

According to railway sources, this train even beats the bullet train in many respects. According to Indian Railways officials, it takes only a few seconds for the Vande Bharat train to reach the speed of 100 km from zero. This train reaches the speed of zero to 100 in a time of 54. seconds, while the world’s fastest Bullet train takes 55.4 seconds to cover this distance.
