Cricket fans won’t have to wait much longer. Online ticket sales for the upcoming Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 season will open on Friday, December 26 at 6 pm, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has confirmed. The fourth edition of the league begins on January 9, with Navi Mumbai hosting the opening leg of the tournament.
Blockbuster start: RCB vs MI to open WPL 2026
The season will kick off with a high-voltage clash between defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women and two-time winners Mumbai Indians Women. The opening match will be played at the iconic Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, a venue that recently hosted several marquee women’s internationals.

Navi Mumbai to host first phase of the league
The Navi Mumbai leg will run from January 9 to January 17, with 11 matches scheduled at the DY Patil Stadium. This phase sets the tone for the tournament before teams move base for the business end of the season.
Vadodara to host league finish and playoffs
After January 17, all five teams will shift to Vadodara. The remaining league matches and the playoffs will be played at the BCA Stadium in Kotambi. Vadodara will host matches from January 19 to February 5, including the Eliminator and the Final.
The WPL 2026 final is scheduled for February 5, where the league will crown its newest champion.
Where and how to buy WPL 2026 tickets
As per the official release, District by Zomato has been given exclusive rights to sell tickets for WPL 2026. Fans can book tickets through the District mobile app or its official website once sales go live on December 26.
At the moment, the BCCI has not announced any details regarding offline ticket sales.
