Yesterday, 8 March, on the occasion of International Women’s, Zomato decided to introduce a new dress code to empower its female delivery partner. Zomato announced that female delivery partners will now have the option to wear zomato women kurta instead of traditional Zomato t-shirts as a part of their uniforms. This initiative aims to offer greater comfort and freedom to women in their work environment.
Zomato shared a video on LinkedIn and Instagram and wrote, “Starting today, Zomato’s female delivery partners can choose to wear a kurta.”
“Many women delivery partners expressed discomfort wearing western-style Zomato t-shirts. So, we gave our female partner a choice,” the food delivery company specifies.
The video shows several female Zomato delivery partners wearing new kurtas offered by the Zomato company and participating in what appeared to be a celebratory photoshoot. The footage captured their expressions of gratitude and was used for the company’s thoughtful gesture.
