Hardik Himanshu Pandya, Team India vice-captain and right-handed batter, was 30 on Wednesday, October 11. He is considered as one of the greatest all-rounders in the current generation of cricketers. Pandya, who made his international debut in 2016, has played in all three forms for India. He is now the captain of the Gujarat Titans in the IPL and plays for the Baroda cricket team in domestic cricket.
Pandya was born in Surat, Gujarat, on October 11, 1993. His cricket career began in Baroda. His father, Himanshu Pandya, worked as a loan agent in Vadodara, according to a 2017 Times of India story. Pandya attended MK High School through the ninth grade before quitting school to concentrate on cricket. Natasa Stankovic, a Serbian dancer, model, and actress, is Pandya’s wife. They have one kid, Agastya Pandya.
Pandya began his domestic cricketing career in 2013 with the Baroda cricket team. He was instrumental in Baroda winning the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in 2013-14. He grabbed ten wickets and was crucial in helping Baroda reach the finals. His effective all-around performance delighted Mumbai Indians, who signed him for the 2015 season of the IPL.
Pandya was selected for India’s T20I tour to Australia in 2015 after a fantastic performance for Mumbai Indians against Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2015 season.
Pandya began his India career in 2016 when he was picked up for a limited-overs tour to Australia, before going on to impress with the ball on seamer-friendly surfaces in Bangladesh during the Asia Cup.
The Mumbai Indians released Pandya before of the IPL 2022 auction. He was later acquired by the new Gujarat Titans franchise in Ahmedabad and designated captain of the squad.
On October 16, 2016, Pandya made his ODI debut for India against New Zealand at Dharamshala. He hit 36 runs off 32 balls in his maiden ODI. He has appeared in 83 One-Day Internationals, scoring 1796 runs and taking 80 wickets.
at July 2017, Pandya made his Test debut against Sri Lanka at Galle. He got his first Test century against Sri Lanka in the third and final Test at Pallekele. He has played 11 tests so far, with a batting average of 31.29 and a bowling average of 31.05.
