Vijay’s much anticipated Leo hits cinemas on Thursday. As fans flocked to witness Leo’s early morning presentation, social media was flooded with early comments about the action thriller. According to fan and reviewer reviews, the film has received mixed reception. Many people likened it to Rajinikanth’s Jailer, but others praised Vijay for his action-packed flick.
Critics provide their thoughts on Leo.
Manobala Vijayabalan, a cinema trade business expert, labeled Leo the ‘weakest film’ of Vijay’s career. “I tried to be a lion but ended up being a cat,” he said on Twitter. Despite a fascinating idea and some great attempts by Joseph Vijay and the actors, the film is a letdown. Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Leo falls short of expectations and unwarranted hype. Furthermore, the film lacks a continuous level of involvement, resulting in times of boredom that detract from the overall viewing experience. The film is nowhere like Vikram or Kaithi, and it is Lokesh’s poorest work. A mediocre attempt.”
Another film industry source stated, “#LEO is 4 times worse than BEAST.” Taran Adarsh described the film as a ‘blockbuster,’ saying, “#LokeshKanagaraj has delivered a masterpiece, a thrilling blend of emotion and mass action.” This was the year of #Thalapathy @actorvijay #Arjun #Sanjaydutt & others. Don’t pass it up!”
