Consider having a personal assistant who is always available to you. Imagine having the ability to personalize this personal helper. If stories are to be believed, this is precisely what Instagram’s next feature may provide. If this is true, the way we use social media may be forever altered.
According to reports, Instagram is working on a feature that would allow users to create their own personalized AI chatbots. The feature is still under development and may never see the light of day, but it is certainly thrilling to be aware of.
Instagram will allow users to design their own AI chatbots.
According to TechCrunch, the future feature may allow users to customize the chatbots’ gender, age, ethnicity, personality, and hobbies. Chatbots might therefore be utilized as companions, offering support, and direction, and even serving as sounding boards for ideas. According to the study, after personalizing the chatbot, users may name it, give it an avatar, and communicate with it via a chat window.
For example, a user may develop a fashion expert chatbot and then ask it for suggestions on what to dress to an upcoming occasion. Alternatively, a user may design a chatbot that acts as a life coach and then ask it for assistance in defining goals or conquering obstacles.
It should be mentioned that we still don’t know when this feature will be available, as Instagram hasn’t officially stated anything. With that stated, it is worth noting that some possible benefits of this functionality include improved platform participation and reduced effort for human moderators.
Chatbots may assist consumers in remaining engaged with Instagram for extended periods of time. Furthermore, AI chatbots may be able to take over some of the responsibilities presently handled by human moderators, such as replying to user questions or screening out spam and abusive content.
Meta’s new artificial intelligence helper
During its Connect launch event in September of this year, Meta revealed its AI helper. The AI helper, known as Meta AI, is expected to be accessible shortly on WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook.
“Meta AI is a new assistant that you can engage with like a human, and it’s accessible on WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, and will soon be available on Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses and Quest 3. It’s driven by a proprietary model that draws on Llama 2 technology and our most recent large language model (LLM) research. “In text-based chats, Meta AI has the ability to access real-time information through our search partnership with Bing and offers an image generation tool,” the business noted on its blog at the time of Meta AI’s introduction.

In addition to MetaAI, the business announced the release of 28 more AI chatbots with distinct personalities and backstories. Not only that, but these chatbots will have social media profiles.
“To play and embody some of these AIs, we collaborated with cultural icons and influencers.” “They’ll each have profiles on Instagram and Facebook, so you can learn more about them,” the business claimed.
