Important JEE Main 2026 Exam Day Guidelines

The NTA has reiterated a few key instructions that candidates must follow on exam day:

    • Visit the exam centre a day in advance to understand the route, travel time, and location.
    • Reach the centre well before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card. Late arrivals will not be allowed under any circumstances.
    • Write your name and roll number on the rough sheets and return them to the invigilator before leaving the exam hall.
    • Fill in the attendance sheet carefully, including signature, left-hand thumb impression, and pasting a passport-size photograph.
    • The photograph must be the same as the one uploaded in the application form, and the thumb impression should be clear and unsmudged.

What Candidates Should Keep in Mind

With strict entry rules and time-bound procedures in place, candidates are advised to stay calm, follow instructions carefully, and focus on time management during the exam. Carry only permitted items as mentioned on the admit card and avoid unnecessary stress on the exam day.
