Reliance Jio, one of the country’s main telecoms firms, revealed a new JioMotive (2023) gadget in a significant move that is anticipated to improve the experience of Indian automobile owners. The device has a slew of features designed to improve vehicle security and driver convenience.
The JioMotive is priced at Rs 4,999 and is accessible through a variety of channels, including Amazon, Reliance Digital e-commerce sites, Jio.com, and certain retail shops.
The JioMotive may be attached to a car’s OBD port, which is a typical function located beneath the steering wheel in most automobiles. Support for real-time 4G GPS tracking is one of the new Jio device’s primary features. This offers automobile owners ongoing updates on the location of their vehicle, providing peace of mind and better security. Users may also set up geofences, which allow them to receive rapid warnings when their automobile enters or departs preset zones.
The gadget also monitors the health of the car. Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) notifications provide users with important information via a specialized app. Furthermore, the JioMotive evaluates driving behavior, providing information about a driver’s habits and road performance.
Importantly, the JioMotive has anti-theft and accident detection capabilities, offering car owners fast notifications in the event of theft or accidents. It also includes built-in Wi-Fi for improved connectivity.
However, it is vital to remember that JioMotive is only meant to function with Jio’s SIM, which means it will most likely not work with SIMs from other providers. The gadget extends the benefits of a car owner’s existing Jio smartphone service to their vehicle.
