Biopics have inspired Bollywood films, and films have sometimes made the big screen. These films have shown the true lives of characters who have played crucial roles in our lives, such as Sardar Udham Singh, Major, Omerta, Soorma, Shershaah, Shaurya, M.S. Now, a new biography will soon hit the big screen, allowing moviegoers to live and experience the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, performed by none other than Uri star Vicky Kaushal.
On 13 Friday, the teaser for Sam Bahadur, a film based on Sam Manekshaw’s life, was unveiled, starring Vicky. Vicky is known for bringing the courageous patriot to life, therefore it would be intriguing to watch how she brings the narrative of the first Field Marshal of India – Sam Manekshaw – to life, who is recognized as the 1971 war hero.
“Ek soldier ke liye uski jaan se zada keemti hoti hai uski izzat…uski wardi…aur ek soldier apni wardi ki izzat ke liye apni jaan bhi de sakta hai (For a soldier, his uniform and his honor are more valuable than his life and for the respect of his uniform, a soldier can give up his life too),” the main character of the film says in the teaser, encouraging the men and women in uniform.
Aside from Vicky, the teaser also features Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh from Dangal. Sanya Malhotra, Jawan’s supporting actress, plays Sam Manekshaw’s wife Silloo in the film, while Fatima Sana Shaikh plays former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi.

Vicky Kaushal, the film’s principal actor, posted on social media, “Zindagi unki, ithaas humara (his life, our history).” Bahdur, Sam The teaser is now available. In theatres on December 1, 2023.”
Netizens’ reactions: Following the release of the Sam Bahadur teaser, netizens praised Vicky Kaushal’s acting abilities and even dubbed the film a blockbuster.
Taran Adarsh, a trading expert, also posted the teaser on social media.

The picture, directed by Meghna Gulzar, is set to hit theatres on December 1, 2023, clashing with Ranbir Kapoor’s next flick Animal.
According to sources, this is Vicky Kaushal’s second collaboration with Meghna Gulzar. Vicky previously worked in Gulzar’s 2018 critically acclaimed and box office success Raazi.
