Shoaib Malik, a veteran Pakistan cricketer, married Pakistani actor Sana Javed despite speculations of his divorce with Indian tennis great Sania Mirza. Malik announced the news on Saturday in a social media post on X, formerly known as Twitter. The post features photos from their wedding ceremony, with the caption: “And we created you in pairs.”
Rumours of Malik dating Javed have been circulating for some time, but the ex-Pakistan captain fueled suspicion even further when he sent the actress a “Happy Birthday Buddy,” along with a photo of the two.

The 41-year-old had previously spoken out in favor of Javed after the Pyaare Afzal actress was chastised for allegedly being nasty to juniors and make-up artists on site. “I have known Sana Javed for pretty some time now and have had the chance to work with her multiple times, from my own perspective I can only say that she has always been kind & courteous with me & the people around us,” Malik said on her Twitter account in March 2022.
Malik’s wedding announcement surprised fans on both sides of the border, especially given rumors of a divorce with Mirza. The couple married in Hyderabad in a traditional Muslim wedding in 2010, followed by a Walima ceremony in Sialkot, Pakistan. Malik and Mirza have a son, Izhaan, born in 2018.
