List of states proclaiming a holiday on January 22:

Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ordered the shutdown of all educational institutions in the state on January 22. Liquor outlets will also be closed.

Gujarat

All government offices in Gujarat will be closed for half a day on January 22 to commemorate the dedication of the Ram temple.

Chhattisgarh

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai stated on Thursday that all government offices will be closed till 2:30 p.m. on Monday.

Madhya Pradesh

All schools will be closed on January 22, and government offices will be closed for half a day until 2:30 p.m. Additionally, a dry day has been declared in the state.

Haryana

All schools across the state will remain closed. A dry day has also been declared by the state administration.

Odisha

All government offices in Odisha, as well as the revenue and magisterial courts, would be closed for half a day till 2:30 p.m.

Assam

The Assam government has announced a half-day for all government agencies and educational institutions until 2:30pm.

Uttarakhand

All government offices in Uttarakhand will be closed for half a day until 2:30pm, and educational institutions will be closed for the entire day.

Maharashtra

On Friday, the Maharashtra government declared a public holiday for January 22.

Rajasthan

The Rajasthan government has declared a half-day vacation for government offices across the state.

Goa

All government offices and educational institutions in Goa will close for the day.

Tripura

Tripura’s government offices and educational institutions would stay closed till 2:30pm, according to a state government directive.

Haryana

The Haryana government has declared a half-day vacation for government agencies and educational institutions.

Chandigarh

The Chandigarh union territory government has announced the shutdown of all offices on January 22.

Puducherry

On Friday, Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy proclaimed a public holiday in the union territory.

Banks will remain closed on January 22.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Finance has issued a directive instructing all banks to remain closed for half a day on Monday in honor of the historic event in Ayodhya. According to the decree, all public sector banks (PSBs), insurance firms, financial institutions, and regional rural banks would be closed until 2:30 p.m.
