A fire broke out on the first floor of a ground plus eight-story building in Mumbai’s Kandivali, killing at least two people and injuring three more.
The incident occurred at about 12.30 p.m. at the Pavan Dham Veena Santur building in Kandivali West’s Mahaveer Nagar locality.
Five persons were hurt in the event and were sent to Shatabdi Hospital.
However, two of them—Josu Gems Robert (8) and Glory Walphati (43)—were pronounced dead.

Lakshmi Bura (40), Rajeshwari Bhartare (24), and Ranjan Subodh Shah (76) were among those injured.

Firefighters rushed to the area to extinguish the blaze. The fire was limited to electrical cables and equipment. The cause of the fire is yet unknown.
