In the midst of the ongoing diplomatic crisis between India and Canada, Congress MP Ravneet Singh Bittu stated on Thursday that Ottawa had assumed the role that Pakistan formerly held.

In an interview with ANI, the Congress leader stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has informed him that Indian students in Canada will be taken care of.

“I spoke with PM Modi yesterday in Parliament about the students in Canada, and he promised me that they would take into account it…” “Canada has taken on the role of how Pakistan was once,” Ravaneet Singh continued.

Tensions between India and Canada have risen after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Monday that the Indian government was responsible for the death of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

Nijjar, a terrorist in India, was slain on June 18 outside a Gurdwara in a parking lot in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.

During a discussion in the Canadian Parliament, Mr Trudeau stated that his country’s national security officials had reason to think that “agents of the Indian government” killed the Canadian citizen, who was also the president of Surrey’s Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara.

The claims made by the Canadian Prime Minister and Foreign Minister were dismissed as ludicrous by India’s Ministry of External Affairs.

“We have seen and condemned the Canadian Prime Minister’s statement in their Parliament, as well as the Foreign Minister’s statement.” Allegations of the Indian government’s cooperation in any act of violence in Canada, according to the statement, are ridiculous and motivated.

When asked about Nijjar, Ravaneet Singh stated that the targeted terrorist was the right hand of the assassins who killed his grandpa.

“Hardeep Singh Nijjar was the right hand of the assassins who killed my grandfather.” He traveled there in 1993 and obtained his citizenship…Nijjar and his associates are among the top ten most sought thugs and narcotics traffickers…,” he continued.
