“We would like to notify you that the Board of Directors of HDFC Bank Limited will convene on Saturday, April 20, 2024, to discuss, among other things, the audited financial statements for the fiscal year that concluded on March 31, 2024, as well as the combined accounts for the same period,” HDFC Bank stated in an exchange filing.

By the relevant SEBI laws, the trading window for HDFC Bank shares and securities has been closed for the specified employees, directors, etc., from March 25, 2024, to April 22, 2024 (both days inclusive). 

HDFC Bank Q4 Results 2024 Review

HDFC Bank stated in its Q4 business update that total advances increased by 55.4% YoY to ₹25.08 lakh crore as of March 31, 2024, from ₹16.14 lakh crore as of March 31, 2023. 

In Q4FY24, deposits at HDFC Bank increased by 7.5% QoQ and 26.4% YoY to a total of about ₹23.80 lakh crore. 

In the fourth quarter of FY24, CASA deposits increased 8.7% YoY to ₹9.09 lakh crore from ₹8.36 lakh. The Q4 statement from HDFC Bank revealed an 8.8% sequential gain in CASA deposits.

For the quarter that ended in March 2024, HDFC Bank is predicted to make a net profit of ₹16,163 crore. The amount is up by 34.2% from ₹12,047.5 crore in the same quarter the previous year. According to Elara Securities, the bank’s net profit is expected to decrease sequentially by 1.3% from ₹16,372.5 crore in Q3FY24. 

In Q4FY24, net interest income (NII) is projected to rise 3.4% from ₹28.471.3 crore, QoQ. On the other hand NII will rise by 26.1% from ₹23,351.8 crore, YoY. Net interest margin (NIM) is anticipated to remain stable. However, NIM recovery might take longer due to several factors. This includes evolving loan structures, transitional liquidity requirements, and systemic issues with deposits.
