Khan allegedly “misled people” in the shooting film, according to the gunman
One of the attendees at the gathering allegedly seized Khan’s suspected shooter from behind as he attempted to flee in a video that has been shown on TV stations.
The shooter, who appeared to be in his 20s or 30s, claimed he was acting alone and had carried out the attack to assassinate Khan.
The suspect is heard saying in the film, “He [Khan] was fooling the people, and I couldn’t handle it.”
The footage was captured by the police, according to the information minister.
According to Fawad Chaudhry, a spokesman for Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party. “The entire PTI leadership would have been wiped out if the gunman had not been stopped by individuals there.”
