Whiskies of the World named Indri Diwali Collector’s Edition 2023 (Indri whisky), a made-in-India whisky, the greatest whisky brand in the world. Indri whisky was named “Double Gold Best in Show” at one of the world’s largest whisky-tasting competitions. There were almost 100 different types of whisky from all over the world.
What is Indri whisky?
Piccadilly Distilleries in Haryana produces Indri whisky. It’s a peated single malt whisky from India. Peated whiskies are whiskies with a smoky flavour that are produced by drying malted barley over peat fires. The strength of this flavour is determined by the length and intensity of the peat smoke.
According to one traveller.in, Indri whisky is prepared with six-row barley and distilled in traditional made-in-India copper pot stills. Smoke, candied dried fruits, toasted nuts, delicate spices, oak, and bittersweet chocolate characterize Indri whisky. From November 2023, the whisky will be sold in the United States and some European countries. The drink is already accessible in 19 Indian states and 17 other nations.
