Janmashtami 2023: Janmashtami, also known as  Gokulashtami, Krishna Janmashtami, Krishnasthami, or Srijayanti, is a Hindu festival that marks the birth of Lord Krishna, Vishnu’s eighth incarnation. This year, the Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha during the Bhadrapad month falls on September 6 and 7. 

Fasting is one of the most important traditions of this festival, which is practised by many followers for 24 hours and culminates with the midnight feast, or “bhog,” dedicated to Lord Krishna. Here are some words, greetings, and messages to help you celebrate Krishna Janmashtami.
