Who exactly is Maa Kushmanda? The importance of Navratri 2023 Day 4:

Maa Kushmanda’s name consists of three words: Ku, Ushma, and Anda, representing a cosmic egg. According to Hindu legend, the cosmos was created by a single flash of Maa Kushmanda’s smile. She is also known as Ashtabhuja Devi, and because she has eight hands, she possesses the power and capacity to reside inside the Sun. Her physique glows and shines with the same luminosity as the Sun. The Sun receives guidance and energy from the Goddess. As a result, the Sun God is ruled by Goddess Kushmanda.

Maa Kushmanda rides a lion and has eight hands, with the right holding Kamandal, Dhanush, Bada, and Kamal and the left holding Amrit Kalash, Jap Mala, Gada, and Chakra. She is worshipped with red flowers and is reputed to give money, health, and vigour to her believers.

Day 4 of Navratri 2023 Samagri, Puja Vidhi, Colour, and Timing:

According to Drik Panchang, the Chaturthi Tithi of Shardiya Navratri is on October 18. It will start at 10:58 a.m. on October 18 and terminate at 1:15 p.m. that same day. While Brahma Muhurat begins at 4:43 a.m. and ends at 5:33 a.m., Vijaya Muhurat is from 2:00 p.m. to 2:46 p.m. On this day, there is no Abhijit Muhurta.

Blue is the hue linked with Day 4 of the festival, and it represents wealth and harmony. Devotees should present red flowers during puja since Goddess Kushmanda adores them. Shringaar samagri should include sindoor, kajal, bangles, bindis, toe rings, combs, mirrors, and anklets. Devotees should also make a special bhog of malpua, halwa, and curd.
