On September 6, 2023, the State Bank of India (SBI) officially announced the SBI PO Recruitment 2023 announcement. The registration period for Probationary Officer (PO) posts will begin on September 7, 2023, and end on September 27, 2023.
The goal of this recruiting campaign is to fill 2000 PO positions inside the firm. The preliminary examination for these vacancies will take place in November 2023.
Criteria for Eligibility
Candidates must have a graduate degree in any field from a qualified institution or an equivalent qualification accepted by the Central Government to apply for the PO post. Individuals in their last year/semester of graduation are also eligible to apply provisionally, as long as they can present documentation of diploma completion by December 31, 2023. Additionally, applicants’ ages should be between 21 and 30 as of April 1, 2023.
The selection procedure
A preliminary examination is followed by a main examination in the selection process. Candidates who pass the main test are eligible for the Psychometric Test, Group Exercise, and Interview.
The Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) scores will not be considered for final selection. To generate the final merit list, only the marks received in the Main Examination (Phase II), comprising both the Objective Test and the Descriptive Test, will be added to the marks acquired in the Group Discussion and Interview (Phase III).
Candidates must qualify in both Phases II and III independently. The final merit list will be produced by combining the results of the Written Test, Group Discussion, and Interview.
Fees for applications
The application cost is INR 750 for General/EWS/OBC applicants, while there is no price for SC/ST/PwBD candidates. Once paid, the application fee cannot be reimbursed or retained in reserve for any future test or selection.
