Honda Cars India is preparing to debut its forthcoming mid-size SUV, the Honda Elevate, at a world premiere in India on June 6, 2023. The Honda Elevate is the company’s first attempt to capitalize on the success of mid-size SUVs in India, which includes popular vehicles such as the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Kia Seltos, and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. The Japanese carmaker teased the SUV ahead of its global debut, revealing a little information about the vehicle. The Honda Elevate mid-size SUV’s live unveiling can be seen here.

According to the leaked details, the SUV will be dubbed Honda Elevate and will have its world premiere today in India, followed by a launch in the Indian market and then overseas markets. The Honda Elevate will be released later this year, around the holiday season, which begins in September and ends in October.

The automobile has been photographed testing several times, and the teaser image offers some specifics about the SUV. The Honda Elevate will have a single-pane sunroof, an upright stance, and a robust front-end design with a huge chrome grille, similar to the Honda Amaze and Honda City. It also has powerful wheel arches, a headlight design that represents the Honda DNA, and other comparable qualities.

As it’s a mid-size SUV, the Honda Elevate should be roughly 4.3 meters long, similar to the competition in the market. The Honda Elevate will be based on a platform derived from earlier Honda models in India, especially the Honda City, which has similar dimensions.

The Honda Elevate is believed to be driven by a 1.5-liter petrol engine, similar to that found in the Honda City, that will be tweaked to deliver good fuel efficiency for the SUV. While the City also receives a Hybrid mill, the Honda Elevate may be supplied with a 1.5-liter petrol-electric powerful hybrid unit from the start. According to sources, the hybrid engine will be included in the latter stages.

The Honda Elevate is projected to cost approximately Rs 10.50 lakh (Ex-showroom) for the base model and up to Rs 20 lakh for the powerful hybrid variants (assuming they are added to the lineup).
