Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s sister’s car was towed away by authorities in Hyderabad on Tuesday, a day after she was arrested following a fight between members of her party and those of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in Warangal. A video shared by news agency ANI shows YS Sharmila seated in the automobile while officials used a crane to haul the vehicle away.

According to ANI, she was held after attempting to enter the Pragathi Bhavan, the residence of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. The story went on to say that she was being transferred to a local police station.

On Monday, there was tremendous drama when the YSR Telangana Party president was arrested while on a padyatra (foot march). Workers from her party and those from the TRS battled in Lingagiri village, Warangal district’s Chennaraopeta block.

Sharmila claimed on Sunday that Reddy had been “extorting money” from people, “land grabbing, and threatening contractors.” “Even his wife has acted as a de facto MLA and has engaged in property grabbing.” They are not leaving any land in the constituency. Why should the public vote for such individuals?” She had inquired, as HT has previously reported.

TRS members reportedly assaulted Sharmila’s van on Monday afternoon in protest to her remarks. Her caravan was set ablaze. Before her party workers extinguished the fire, the bus was partially burned.
