BMW F 450 GS Unveiled Ahead of EICMA 2025: CEO Reveals Production-Ready Adventure Bike

BMW F 450 GS Revealed Ahead of EICMA 2025

BMW Motorrad just couldn’t wait for EICMA 2025 — its CEO, Markus Flasch, has gone ahead and revealed the BMW F 450 GS in full production form. The mid-size adventure motorcycle has been one of the most anticipated launches of the year, especially after its concept version made headlines at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025.

And now, just days before its global debut in Milan, we’ve got a clear look at what’s coming — and it looks every bit ready for production.

A New 450cc Twin Engine — Built With TVS

At the heart of the new F 450 GS sits a 450cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine, reportedly good for around 48 hp. This motor is said to be co-developed with TVS Motor Company, under their ongoing global partnership with BMW.

Interestingly, while the bike will come with a standard manual gearbox, some reports hint at a semi-automatic transmission option — something that could make the GS range even more beginner-friendly and practical for city riders.

Design Carries The GS DNA

Visually, the production version stays true to the original concept. The muscular fuel tank, sharp side panels, and that iconic beak-style front end all scream GS DNA.

The headlamp setup — clearly inspired by the BMW R 1300 GS — features the brand’s distinctive X-shaped LED DRL signature, while the tail section is sleeker, with a minimalist rear lamp that complements its adventure-ready stance.

From the photos shared by Flasch, it’s evident that BMW wanted to strike a balance between ruggedness and refinement — a sweet spot for riders looking for something compact yet capable.

Built for Real Adventures

The F 450 GS rides on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup, both wire-spoke and tubeless, meaning it’s built to handle both highway stretches and light off-road trails.

Underneath, there’s an all-new chassis setup supported by upside-down forks at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear — a solid combo for comfort and handling.

Expect features like all-LED lighting, multiple ride modes, cornering ABS, traction control, and a 6.5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity — all standard fare for a modern BMW GS.

Official Debut At EICMA 2025

BMW will officially lift the covers off the F 450 GS at EICMA 2025, where more details like pricing, variants, and availability are expected. Considering its specs and positioning, it’s likely to go up against bikes like the KTM 390 Adventure, Triumph Scrambler 400 X, and Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 — a segment that’s been heating up fast in India and globally.

For now, the early reveal gives enthusiasts plenty to be excited about — the BMW F 450 GS seems ready to bring a fresh wave of performance and premium appeal to the mid-size ADV market.
