On Thursday, BMW India announced the launch of the new BMW X4 M40i in India, with a starting price of 96.2 lakh (ex-showroom). The luxury SUV will be available in limited quantities and will only be available for reservation through the BMW Online Shop. The BMW X4 M40i will be offered in India as a Completely Built Up unit (CBU), according to PTI.
“In India, the BMW X4 established the distinct Sports Activity Coupe concept.” It immediately became the vehicle of choice for clients who have a distinct personality that distinguishes them from the crowd. As a result, we are overjoyed to announce the release of the first-ever BMW X4 M40i, which is a monument to the remarkable popularity of M-powered vehicles and the rising popularity of unique M Editions in India. The BMW X4 M40i is a daring disruptor, designed to outperform and built to last. “With its performance-oriented style, distinctive aesthetics, and increased power, you will be sure to stand out from the crowd,” said Vikram Pawah, president of BMW Group India, according to PTI.
The 3.0-liter BMW M TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder petrol engine produces 265 kW/360hp and 500 Nm of torque between 1,900 and 5,000 rpm.
BMW claims the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and reach a peak speed of 250 km/h. The 48-volt mild hybrid technology improves driving performance while using less petroleum and giving more comfort.
The engine is equipped with an 8-speed Steptronic Automatic gearbox that provides smooth, nearly unnoticeable gear transitions.
The premium SUV comes standard with BMW xDrive, an intelligent all-wheel drive system that analyzes the driving conditions and reacts quickly to provide optimal traction, agility, and vehicle stability. The M Sport differential, which BMW claims increases traction and performance by automatically adjusting power distribution to each wheel, is also included.
Design
The new X4 M401 has a coupe-SUV design. The double kidney bars in high-gloss black, the M kidney grille with chrome frame, and the M emblem at the front highlight the vehicle’s athleticism. Its thin Adaptive LED Headlamps help to concentrate the face. The X4 M40i’s rear includes free-form black chrome tailpipe trims with two “teeth” that underline the advanced Sports Activity Coupe’s modernity.
The SUV comes standard with 20-inch mixed tyres 245/45 R20 up front and Jet Black M light alloy wheels double-spoke 699M and 275/40 R20 up back. Red-high gloss brake calipers are offered for M Sport brakes.
The cabin has a high degree of comfort and functionality in a sporty setting. Carbon Fibre M interior trim finishes provide a distinctive race environment in the cockpit of the first-ever BMW X4 M40i. Exclusive galvanic embellishment on power window control components, the door control panel, multifunction steering wheel buttons, and the door lock switch give a high-quality image.
BMW Live Cockpit Professional is a contemporary cockpit concept with 3D Navigation, a 12.3-inch digital information screen behind the steering wheel, a 12.3-inch Control Display, and BMW Head-up Display. By conversing with their BMW Virtual Assistant, passengers may handle a number of car amenities. The interior has a three-spoke steering wheel, ambient lighting, a three-zone temperature control system, reclining rear seats, a panoramic sunroof, and much more.
