The renowned Dubai Burj Khalifa is trending on Google because there is some misunderstanding regarding whether the world’s tallest structure hoisted the Pakistan national flag on the country’s independence day. On Pakistan’s Independence Day, the official Instagram handle of the Burj Khalifa and the official X (formerly known as Twitter) account of the Pakistan Consulate General in Dubai shared a video of the Burj Khalifa flying the Pakistani national flag. However, other netizens recorded footage of Pakistanis in Dubai becoming unhappy and enraged because the country’s flag was not hoisted atop the Burj Khalifa on August 14 to commemorate Pakistan’s independence day. Some said that images and videos posted by Pakistanis claiming that the Burj Khalifa lit up in the colors of Pakistan’s national flag were out of date.
