According to Nirmala Sitharaman, the minister of finance, the government will provide a rebate of up to 8% on interest to artisans who take up loans under the PM Vishwakarma Yojana. The artists who are receiving direct loans will feel a lot better as a result.

Let me inform you that Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday launched the Vishwakarma Yojana for artisans. The government launched this programme with a budget of Rs 13,000 crore. In the budget for the fiscal year 2023–2024, this was stated.

Loans will be offered at a 5% interest rate

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman provided information about the PM Vishwakarma Scheme, stating that under this programme, the government will grant craftsmen loans up to Rs 3 lakh at a reduced interest rate of 5% without providing any mortgage.

This programme would initially grant a loan of one lakh rupees, which will be repaid by the beneficiary as soon as possible. In addition, he will receive Rs. 2 lakh.

Carpenters, goldsmiths, stone sculptors, blacksmiths, masons, barbers, and boat builders are just a few of the 18 professions that will be eligible for the PM Vishwakarma Yojana’s benefits.

Along with financial support, this program also offers advanced skill training, an understanding of contemporary digital technologies, digital payments, links to the domestic and international markets, and brand promotion, among other things.

There will be skill training offered through the PM Vishwakarma Yojana

Five days of training will be provided under the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, along with daily payments of Rs 500. A reward of Rs 15,000 will also be provided as a toolbox incentive in addition to this. A concurrent reward of up to Re 1 per transaction for a maximum of 100 transactions will be granted to encourage digital transactions.
