The Maruti Suzuki Fronx, which was launched in India in April, is rapidly gaining a place among the volume drivers for the country’s largest manufacturer, with average monthly wholesale exceeding 10,000 units.

The Maruti Suzuki Fronx, which competes with the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, and Kia Sonet, has already hit an average monthly volume of 10,585 units.

Surprisingly, the NA petrol version of the sub-4 metre small SUV outsells the turbo petrol version by a wide amount.
The most recent addition to Maruti’s SUV portfolio is priced between Rs 7.46 lakh and Rs 13.13 lakh (ex-showroom) and comes with two engine options: a 1.2-litre Dual-Jet Dual-VVT NA petrol engine and a 1.0-litre Turbo Boosterjet petrol engine.
The NA petrol engine generates 89.73PS of maximum power and 113Nm of peak torque and may be combined with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed automatic transmission. The turbo petrol engine produces 100.06PS of maximum power and 147.6Nm of peak torque and may be paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
According to Maruti statistics, the Fronx turbo petrol sells 751 units every month, accounting for 7.1% of total volume. The Fronx NA petrol, on the other hand, sells an average of 9,834 units each month, accounting for 92.9% of total sales.
According to the research, more purchasers choose the manual version of the Fronx over the automated version.
The Fronx automatic (AT + AMT) sells 2,519 units per month on average, accounting for 23.8% of total volume. In comparison, the Fronx manual has 8,066 units and a 76.2% market share.

The Fronx also comes with a CNG engine (77.5PS and 98.5Nm) with a 5-speed manual transmission. It is priced between Rs 8.41 lakh and Rs 9.27 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx’s exterior has LED multi-reflector headlights, LED DRLs, LED rear combo lamps, a shark fin antenna, and 16-inch alloy wheels. It has a 9-inch HD Smart Play Pro+ infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automated climate control, a head-up display, an Arkamys surround sound system, and a wireless charger in the cabin.
Suzuki’s HEARTECT platform serves as the foundation for the Fronx. The vehicle has six airbags, including front, side, and curtain airbags, a 360-degree view camera, three-point ELR seatbelts, an electronic stability program (ESP) with hill-hold assist and rollover mitigation, Isofix child seat mounts, an anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD) and brake assist.
