Mirai Box Office Collection Day 4: Teja Sajja’s Fantasy Flick Struggles on Monday, Crosses ₹50 Crore

Teja Sajja’s latest fantasy action-adventure Mirai has been the talk of the town ever since its release. The film opened strong, made waves over the weekend, but when Monday arrived—it stumbled. Despite the dip, the movie has still managed to cross the ₹50 crore milestone in just four days.

A Solid Start, But Monday Blues Hit Hard

Mirai hit the ground running with a ₹13 crore opening, followed by impressive weekend numbers. Fans were hopeful the momentum would carry into the week. But Monday collections told a different story—the film dropped over 60%, pulling in only ₹6 crore, with ₹4.69 crore coming from Telugu markets.

This brings Mirai’s total box office tally to ₹50.60 crore, which sounds solid, but when compared to Teja Sajja’s previous blockbuster HanuMan, it’s clear the film is struggling to keep pace.

Occupancy Numbers Paint the Picture

According to Sacnilk, Mirai recorded an overall 35.72% Telugu occupancy on Monday, with Mahbubnagar leading at 82.67%. The drop is steep and raises doubts about whether the movie can touch the ₹100 crore mark in its first week.

Mirai vs Demon Slayer: The Box Office Clash

Interestingly, Mirai isn’t the only film facing Monday blues. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle managed only ₹3.50 crore on the same day, bringing its four-day total to ₹44.50 crore in India. Occupancy for the Japanese anime film was just 16.24%, with Chennai topping at 28.75%.

For now, Mirai is ahead in the box office race, but its downward curve is something the makers will be keeping a close eye on.

The Bigger Picture: Star Cast and What’s Next

Directed by Karthik Gattamneni, Mirai features Manchu Manoj, Ritika Nayak, Shriya Saran, Jagapathi Babu, and Jayaram in pivotal roles. The film also had a surprise factor with Prabhas as Ethan Mascarenhas and Rana Daggubati in a cameo.

And here’s some exciting news: the makers have already confirmed a sequel, where Rana Daggubati will return—this time as the main antagonist.

Final Take

Mirai may have hit a speed bump on Monday, but it’s still holding strong with ₹50+ crore in four days. Whether it can recover and push towards the ₹100 crore club remains to be seen. For Teja Sajja, all eyes are on the coming days.
