Motorola has introduced a new 5G smartphone to its low-cost Moto G-series. It’s the Moto G54 5G. The phone was released in India with a starting price of Rs 15,999 and is intended for users looking for a powerful budget smartphone with 5G connection, a smooth gaming experience, a large battery, rapid charging, and a great camera, according to Motorola.
The Moto G54 is the first smartphone in the company’s G-series family to use a Mediatek Dimensity 7020 chipset, and undoubtedly the first phone in this price range to do so. The phone competes with the Redmi 12 5G and the Realme 11X 5G.
The Moto G54 has up to 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, a 50-megapixel OIS-enabled camera, a massive 6000mAh battery with 33W charging, and a 33W Tubi charger included in the package.

The Moto G54 5G is available in two storage configurations: 8GB RAM + 128GB storage for Rs 15,999 and 12GB RAM plus 256GB storage for Rs 18,999.
Customers can save money on the phone by using bank or exchange deals. When paired with bank discounts, the basic edition of the phone can be purchased for an effective price of Rs 14,499. Customers would also have to pay Rs 17,499 for the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage while taking advantage of launch deals.
Motorola has also teamed with Jio to provide perks of up to Rs 5,000 (Rs 2,000 rebate on the 399 pre-paid plans + Rs 3,000 in partner discounts).
The Moto G54 is available in Midnight Blue, Pearl Blue, and Mint Green color options, and the sale is now live on Flipkart.
Moto G54 5G technical specs
The Moto G54 has a 6.5-inch LED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a resolution of Full HD+ (2400 x 1080). The display supports HDR10, with a peak brightness of 1000 nits, and is protected by PANDA glass, which is aluminosilicate glass akin to Gorilla glass.
The Moto G54 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chipset with a maximum 2.2GHz octa-core CPU and an IMG BXM-8-256 GPU. It has a 6000 mAh battery and supports 33W charging.
On the rear, there are two cameras: a 50-megapixel OIS primary camera and an 8-megapixel autofocus camera. Motorola has not included a new macro or depth camera. A 16-megapixel camera is available for selfies.
In comparison to other phones on the market, Moto phones run a cleaner version of Android. The Moto G54 is no different. It comes with Android 13 software, but Motorola says that an Android 14 upgrade will be available later.
